The laboratory is equipped with a broad array of shock and acceleration facilities that make it one of France's leading test laboratories.
Practically every single industrial vibration test from engine vibration simulation (40 g from 20-2500 Hz), to earthquake simulation (100 mm from 0.1-5 Hz) can be performed using one of the 25 electrodynamic and electrohydraulic vibrators in the range 100 N - 200,000 N, with horizontal tables, 400 x 400 to 3 m x 3 m. All types of shocks can be performed on structures up to 1 metric ton, both hard shocks (10,000 g, 0.1 ms) and soft shocks (10 g, 350 ms) using hte mechanical shock equipment.
